University Managed Desktop Service
The Department has some generally accessible computers called the University Managed Desktop (formerly known as the MCS/PWF), managed by the Desktop Services team in the University Information Service (UIS).
The Chemistry Department University Managed Desktop (UMD) is for the use of all staff and students of the Department, and provides networked PCs running a wide range of software, together with Konica MFD's (Multi Function Device i.e. printing, copying, scan to e-mail) and access to One Drive for storage.

The Chemistry UMD consists of two rooms:
- G30 (PCs and Konica MFD)
- the Department library (4 PCs, Konica MFD)
The UMD's in G30 are often in use for teaching during term, when it cannot be used by others; please see the current course schedule.
