In order to access to the University Finance System (UFS) you need to use the department VPN service regardless of your location. 

Existing users of our VPN service

By default we provide a "split tunnel" configuration file, which does not grant access to UFS; accessing UFS requires a "full tunnel" configuration. If you are not sure which configuration you use, connect to the VPN and then visit https://apps.ch.cam.ac.uk/vpn/vpn-test/

If you need to add a "full tunnel" configuration option, you can download configuration files by following the instructions for setting up access the our VPN service. The change required for users of Windows and Macs are:

Windows

Save this configuration file to c:\users\<your username>\OpenVPN\config\ . When you right-click the OpenVPN icon to connect, you will now see "chemistry-full-tunnel-token-win10" as an option.

Mac

Download this configuration file . Double-click to expand it; you should then get a file 'chemistry-full-tunnel.tblk'. Double click this to install the configuration. You will now see "chemistry-full-tunnel" as an option when you click the Tunnelblick icon.

New users of our VPN service

Follow the instructions for setting up access to our VPN service. When given a choice of configuration files choose the "Full tunnel" option.
